Nash Academy Instructor Bio: Berno Bekebrede

Berno Bekebrede is both a certified Online Instructor and a Practical Application Instructor for the Nash Academy, and brings his phenomenal professional expertise and wealth of knowledge to both aspects of the Nash training. Berno has been a dog groomer and handler for over 25 years, and has enjoyed great success in whatever aspect of the canine world he has chosen to pursue it in. He holds a Dutch Federal grooming diploma, and has owned and run his own grooming salon prior to deciding to pursue his passion of grooming, handling and showing dogs in Europe and the United States. He has been involved in the careers of many champion dogs, including world champions, among them the most winning Irish Wolfhound in history. He is also a member and judge for the International Judges Association for Dog Grooming Competition and travels the world to judge grooming competitions. Berno especially enjoys the Wire Fox Terriers, Lakeland Terriers, Rough Collies, and Irish Wolfhounds. He lives in Holland with his wife and son. Working with Vivian and John Nash, he has been instrumental in the development of the innovative Canine Reference and Groomers Reference, two encyclopedic online references which put information about breeds of dogs and grooming breeds of dogs, compiled and organized for ease of use, at subscribers' fingertips.
